While Robert Weil is one of the younger estates in the Rheingau, founded in 1875, it has one of the best reputations out of the entire region for uncompromising, quality-oriented vineyard and cellar practices. Wine & Spirits has named Robert Weil in the top 100 wineries in the world twice, and multiple critics have named them as the pinnacle of Rheingau winemakers. Trocken Riesling is Riesling made bone dry, and because it is so difficult to make well, and is so well-enjoyed amongst the population of Germany, it can be tricky to find in the United States. This medium bodied, dry white wine is pure and intense, with a stony richness and a lively, well-balanced structure.
