Château du Coing de Saint Fiacre Sur-Lie, Melon de Bourgogne
Melon de Bourgogne, Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine, Loire, France 2019 (750 ml)
Where the Loire river reaches the ocean is the region of Muscadet. The primary grape is Melon de Bourgogne, known for creating lean, mineral and saline driven wines that pair with seafood. To be sur-lie, the wine must be left on its lees for the winter which allows the wine to bring complex toasty aromas and a richer body. Winemaker and owner Véronique Günther-Chéreau produces her wines solely from the estate.
