Barbara Öhlzelt is pretty much running a one-woman show at her 15-acre vineyard and winery in Kamptal, Austria. As owner, vineyard manager, and winemaker, she has complete control over the style of wines she would like to make. Unlike a lot of her big-batch neighbors, she produces Grüner Veltliner with elegance and purity. Her wines are very drinkable and refreshing, and are making a big splash in the Austrian wine industry. 
 
This full liter of sparkling Grüner Veltliner from her estate is fully dry, or “trocken” as they say in this region. It is very refreshing with a mouthwatering acidity and flavors of flint, lime, and white pepper. Enjoy this one outside with something salty or fried!
