Wines For The Win, Virginia Style
Each year, wine producers across the state are invited to submit wines made with 100% Virginia-grown fruit for The Virginia Governor’s Cup and it would be safe to say that the competition ranks among one of the country’s most stringent. And despite (or in spite of) all things otherwise haywire this year and last, Virginia delivered - bigtime. As such, our wine team has put together a showcase of the finest on offer, and one that will dispel any lingering doubts that the Commonwealth can compete with the best of ‘em. See for yourself and drink these wines, you won’t be disappointed.
Variety Is Indeed The Spice Of Life
An array of spices have landed at Neighborhood Provisions and that’s good news for you. Given our pedigree in restaurants, we’re able to source a higher quality product for less than you’ll find at your chain grocer. In other words, our chefs have access to some of the best spices available on the planet and we’re passing this perk along to you. And while we consider them all staples, here’s what we’re stocking our spice rack with this week...
Hip, Hop, Hooray!
Spring Is For Beer
Need a cold one? You bet you do and our resident sultan of suds and master of malts Greg Engert has you taken care of with a seemingly endless array of top hops on offer, including growlers, rarities & more. Visit the ChurchKey Beer Shop for all the fermented fun and fill your cooler full of worthy brews just in time for baseball to begin.
Spring is in the air and we’re getting into so many new items added to the shop daily. From Fresh Eggs to Truffled Brie, locally made Olive Oil and a couple new pastas including De Cecco’s sublime Egg Fettucine, we're excited to get back in the kitchen and cook our way through the season.
Virginia's Lindera Farms has long been a secret source among our chefs for their impossibly delicious vinegars. Locally & sustainably sourced fruit is fermented into wines which then age into vinegar. This makes for a robust, versatile vinegar with chefs, bartenders, home cooks, and health conscious individuals in mind.

Shopping small can make a big difference to the economy in your community and we want to do our part to help other local partners in this pursuit, which is why we dedicated a page on our site to curate all the incredible finds made by local producers. We are going to keep adding to this page, so check back often!

We challenge you to find a more comprehensive outpost for cured, smoked and otherwise deliciously handmade goodness than what’s currently on offer courtesy of our own resident madman Nathan Anda. Nate has unleashed a mind-boggling selection of his greatest hits. Interested in what genuine, old-world, real-deal Charcuterie looks like? Check it out.
It’s A Fine Time
For Good Wine
Thought we’d take a moment to recognize our inimitable team of wine pros for putting together an online wine shop that’s brimming with fun, affordable, often quirky and always dependably delicious sippers and sluggers of every stripe. We’d categorize the bulk of the bottles as 'everyday wines' - meaning these gluggers are perfect for when something top shelf is simply too top shelfy. Browse the shop, you’ll see what we mean.
Why wait around for the weekend when you can treat yourself to brunch any dang day of the week you please? Why? Well, we’ve got it all mapped out for you here and all you need to do is pick the day (or days, we’re not judging) and have it delivered. Be it Quiche, Biscuits, Bacon, Cinnamon Rolls, French Toast, Smoked Salmon, Mimosas and more, we promise to to make your Tuesday, or any day, that much more bearable.
